Sitting in Cafe de Barones

I really like this cafe a lot. Cosy interiors, wooden tables and chairs, dim yellow lights hanging from the ceiling, and the corner table I am sitting at right now, which I always eye for whenever I come – and usually I get it. From where I sit, the view out on the streets is calming to my senses. Every time I look up outside, I always see something different. It’s like a mini-television.

Just across the street, pasted onto the window glass of a shoe shop, is the sentence:

“We ended up breaking the rules of shoes, not for the sake of breaking them, but simply by not knowing them.”
