A little catch up from yesterday…
After shooting with Lea, we went to a French cafe along Deichstrasse for coffee. It was a nice cosy cafe along the river, and the view was great. We were told we only have just an hour as the restaurant was reserved for dinner.
Showed Lea my journal, and she started reading it, to my surprise. I found out that she is a fan of the work of Charles Bukowski and Hemingway, and that she was also a ballet dancer.
Lea wanted to finish reading the journal so we decided to move to another Italian cafe further down the street. Had my dinner there – a shitty carbonara. We talked about the film ‘Blue Is The Warmest Colour’, and shared a lot about ourselves.
Along the way back to the train station (around 6:30PM), Lea asked me what was my first impression of her. That was the topic we talked about while the trains went by. We really enjoyed each other’s company. Decided to just chill the fuck out and sit at the train platform and watch the world go by. I suggested closing our eyes and enjoy the sounds of the surroundings. At this point, fireworks started (for reasons unknown) and the moment was awkward yet magical and unforgettable.
I shared with Lea about my revelation this afternoon to the lyrics of the song ‘Objects In The Rear View Mirror May Appear Closer Than They Are’ by Meatloaf. We shared earphones and listened to it. It was extremely moving and impossible to describe it here.
What happens after is to be continued…
