Second day in Amsterdam.

What an eventful day. Took bus 65, then Tram 10 & 7 to meet my agents Sophie and Ymke at 11AM at The Breakfast Club for a reunion. So happy to see them again! So unreal. It felt just like last week. Had an English Breakfast and two cups of latte while we caught up over a great conversation. Will meet Sophie next week to discuss the client list etc. Explored Foodhallen a little afterwards when we parted.

Walked along the canal northwards, along the Westerlijk Marktkanaal all the way to Bos en Lommer (my accommodation location when I first arrived in Amsterdam in late 2015) to visit the same bicycle shop. The walk was such a peaceful and calm one, filled with green trees in spring, and so quiet in the light rain. I love the feeling.

Reached the bicycle shop and saw Memet, the owner, again! I showed him the old receipt that I have kept in my wallet from the first time I bought a bicycle from him (which got stolen). He remembered. Memet is from Turkey and has been living here for 40 years already. He is 58 this year. He invited me to sit for a cup of homemade coffee and we had a nice chat despite the language barrier. We spoke a mix of Dutch and English. Bought a 2nd-hand bicycle at €120.

Cycled the old route back all the way to Central Station, and then to the Albert Heijn supermarket by memory! Bought some groceries and rode back home.
