18:48PM, Rue la Condamine

Spent the day with Melina at her workshop space. So much personality and passion in this small little studio. We had some tea when I arrived and then got to watch her at work. Standing at the counter tabletop now writing this. Melina is working on an old wooden chest – hammering some nails in and hitting the hinges into place. Francisco, her partner, just got back from running an errand. It is raining now – the whole day in fact.

I feel very fortunate to be standing where I am now. Experiencing and observing a Parisian so intimately at work in their private space. It is a pleasure to be invited here to watch. Took some photographs of Melina just outside the door of her studio. A wonderful afternoon.
